#8. Demystifying Yoga with Sadhna Upadhya
Sunday Aug 09, 2020
Sunday Aug 09, 2020
In this episode, Sadhna Upadhya, yoga instructor of Sadhnas.com demystifies and explains the basics of what yoga is and what the different yoga classes that are usually offered, entail.
Regardless of their ethnicity, religion, or language, almost every person I know has tried a yoga class. My guess is that you would know at least one person in your circle who has at least tried a yoga class before, even if you haven't.
Whilst getting into activewear and contorting my body into various positions hasn't really been on my wishlist, I feel like I'm going to be joining the club soon too.
Still, the moment I look up a nearby studio and look at the long list of classes that are available, I start to feel that familiar anxiety rising up again.
Which one was for me? The complete novice, a beginner who has a multiple joint injuries and ongoing chronic issues. Hatha? Vinayasa? Astanga? Yin? Hot? What's the difference? Which one is for which type of person?
They all say "suitable for beginners", but are they really?
Sadhna Upadhya breaks it down for us.
